WSET style tasting note
Appearance – pale intensity gold, showing medium-sized bubbles and tears.
Nose – clean on the nose, with a pronounced intensity, developing, opens with a doughy-brioche note, then orchard fruit aromas of green apple and ripe conference pear, then something richer like baked cooking apple with a background hint of lemony citrus.
Palate – a dry wine, with medium acidity, no tannin, medium alcohol and a medium (-) body, with medium (+) intensity flavours of stewed and baked green apple, and citrus – ripe pink grapefruit. A creamy mousse, with a medium (+) persistence, and a medium (+) length.
Quality – a good quality harmonious wine, with a balance between acidity and alcohol plus residual sugar, matching the intensity of flavour. Not a complex wine, but with a good intensity of flavour and a clean finish – well made.
